Chicago Accident and Aviation Law Attorney

Michael Krzak is a partner at Clifford Law Offices and one of our Chicago accident attorneys. He is also a part of our team of aviation law attorneys. Mr. Krzak is a hard-working individual, putting every ounce of effort and enthusiasm into his workday. His approach to each project is thorough, exhausting all possible angles to a problem. His legal research on a number of cases-from aviation issues to medical malpractice matters-is a trusted tool in the office. Mr. Krzak started at Clifford Law Offices as a clerk and began as an associate attorney upon successful completion of his law studies. In June 2004, at age 33, he became the youngest partner at Clifford Law Offices. Today, he continues to be one of the brightest aviation law attorneys and Chicago accident attorneys on the team.

In past cases, Mr. Krzak achieved a $2.583 million verdict, setting a new legal record in the state for a woman who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder in witnessing the death of her best friend in an auto accident. He was also instrumental in obtaining a $13.73 million settlement for a worker who sustained burn injuries. Recently, he set a record for a knee injury with a $500,002 verdict in downstate Bloomington, Illinois. Since becoming a Chicago accident attorney, Mr. Krzak has been a part of the Clifford Law Offices team that worked on the Rachel Barton trial, a case involving a violinist who was injured in a train accident that resulted in a $35 million verdict. As a result of his efforts in the legal profession, Mr. Krzak was named among the Illinois "40 Attorneys Under 40 to Watch" by The Law Bulletin Publishing Company in 2001. In 2014, Mr. Krzak was named to the 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame.

Because he serves as both an aviation law attorney and a Chicago accident attorney, Mr. Krzak's caseload is wide-ranging. He handles a variety of personal injury cases in which individuals suffered paralyzing injuries as well as numerous wrongful death and serious injury cases resulting from construction negligence, air crashes, train crashes and automobile collisions. As one of our experienced Chicago accident attorneys, he has attained multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts in numerous cases and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

With his background and success as an aviation law attorney, Mr. Krzak is part of the team that tackles highly complex aviation crash cases. His sense of zeroing in on the issues and his attention to detail are indispensable to the intense preparation of these cases. Since he came to the firm, Mr. Krzak has been involved in every commercial aviation case the firm has handled. He handled 21 cases on behalf of families who were victims of the tragedy of Turkish Airlines Flight 1951, which crashed short of the runway at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in 2009. As one of our experienced aviation law attorneys, Mr. Krzak was also responsible for handling the highly publicized air crash cases on the runway in Lexington, Kentucky, involving Comair Flight 5191. The law firm represented five families who lost loved ones in that crash. Mr. Krzak was part of the Plaintiffs Steering Committee relating to that crash and also a designated member of the trial team. He also handled the consolidated air crash cases involving Continental Connection Flight 3407 in Buffalo, New York. In addition, he represented families who were victims of crashes of American Eagle Flight 4184, Alaska Air Flight 261, American Airlines Flight 587, TWA Flight 800, Swiss Air Flight 111, U.S. Air Flight 427, American Airlines Flight 585 and the Southwest Airlines crash at Midway Airport in December 2005. He has been involved in numerous cases involving the crashes of small aircraft and helicopters. He served as Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Aviation Law Committee in 2006 and as Chair in 2007 and 2011. Clifford Law Offices is proud to have a lawyer of the caliber of Michael Krzak on its team of Chicago accident attorneys.
