The Northern Illinois University College of Law - 15th Annual Law Review Symposium
The Northern Illinois University College of Law announces its 15th Annual Law Review Symposium, Medical Malpractice: Emerging Issues and the Effects of Tort Reform, from 8:50 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 at the NIU Holmes Student Center in DeKalb. The Symposium will feature an array of medical malpractice attorneys, state legislators, law professors and tort reform advocates who will provide theoretical and practical insights on these issues. The luncheon keynote speaker features Keith A. Hebeisen, president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Hebeisen will be speak on "Medical Malpractice Crisis and Proposed Solutions: Fact v. Fiction," addressing the implications of a recently enacted state law that caps non-economic damages for medical malpractice victims.
