Major Drug Company Settles Deceptive Co-Pay Coupon Class in New York

Pfizer Inc. settled last week a case brought by New York's attorney general based on the world's largest pharmaceutical company misleading consumers with its drug co-payment coupon program. The global giant initiated a coupon program that led consumers into thinking they would be paying far less to fill prescriptions but then they ended up having to pay more from 2015-18.

ABC Affiliate in Chicago Features Marist High School and Names Robert Clifford One of its "Famous Alums"

ABC-TV in Chicago (WLS) features a weekly report on a Chicago area high school. This week's selection was Marist High School on Chicago's south side in the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood, alma mater of Robert A. Clifford, founding and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices.

Sarah King to Speak at CBA Tort Litigation Program

King, associate at Clifford Law Offices, has been invited to speak at an all-star line up of lawyers and judges at the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers' Section (YLS) Nov. 6 on the "Anatomy of a Medical Malpractice Trial." King, a highly experienced trial attorney particularly in the area of plaintiffs' medical malpractice, will be speaking on "Taking Depositions of Treating Physicians." Among the other speakers from 3-5 p.m. include the Hon. Clare McWilliams and Hon. Marguerite Quinn, Cook County Circuit Court Judges of the Law Division. The in-person program, aimed at providing insight and training for young lawyers interested in putting together a med mal trial, will be held at the CBA, 321 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago.
