Bob Clifford Speaks to DePaul Law School Students

Bob Clifford spoke to DePaul Law School students about what they can expect in their legal careers. He was joined by William Chamberlain, DePaul's Assistant Dean and Director of Law Career Services. "I became a better lawyer when I recognized that what I'm doing is not about me - it's about the people you represent who need you to make good judgments for them. They need you to be calm in the middle of the storm," Clifford told them.

Bob Clifford Helps Celebrate John Rooney

Bob Clifford attended a celebration honoring long-time Chicago Daily Law Bulletin reporter John Rooney who received a byline posted on the famed Billy Goat tavern's wall. Rooney, who recently retired from the paper following decades of reporting and thousands of bylines, was honored at the Chicago restaurant made famous by the late comedian John Belushi who shouted "Cheezborger, Cheezborger" as they flipped burgers for patrons on Saturday Night Live.

Craig Squillace Obtains Record $4 Million Settlement in Trucking Accident Case

Craig Squillace, associate at Clifford Law Offices, obtained a record $4 million settlement on behalf of a 60-year-old woman who was killed when her vehicle was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer truck on I-80. The settlements represents a record in Will County for the wrongful death of a woman over 60.

Clifford Law Offices Obtains $20 Million Settlement on Behalf of Man Injured by Truck

Robert A. Clifford and Bradley M. Cosgrove, partners at Clifford Law Offices, obtained a $20 million settlement today (Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015) after being assigned to trial on behalf of a man who was severely injured when a tractor carrying hazardous materials t-boned his vehicle.

Tracy Brammeier Moderates Cook County Circuit Court Walk Through

Tracy A. Brammeier, associate at Clifford Law Offices, moderated a program sponsored by the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) designed to provide a basic introduction to the Cook County Circuit Court's practices and procedures. Brammeier, YLS Special Project Coordinator, put together an afternoon program that addressed the nuts and bolts of practice in the court that included Hon. James P. Flannery, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Also included in the tour was the clerk's office and the filing of documents including e-filing as well as the basics of service of process involving the Cook County Sheriff's Office. "Basics of Probate Procedure and Tips for Practitioners" was presented by Hon. Moshe Jacobius, Presiding Judge of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County; "Basics of Probate Procedure and Tips for Practitioners" was presented by Hon. Mary Ellen Coghlan, Presiding Judge of the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County; and "Basics of the Criminal Division and Tips for Practitioners" was presented by Hon. Neera Walsh of the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. The informative and interesting program offered continuing legal education credit for lawyers.
