Press Release, 02/10/2005

The 11th Annual Robert A. Clifford Symposium on Civil Justice, Tort Law and Social Policy will discuss the timely issue of non-economic damages in civil litigation.

"Who Feels Their Pain? The Challenges of Non-Economic Damages in Civil Litigation" is the title of the two-day symposium sponsored by DePaul University College of Law April 14-15.

A faculty of lawyers and academics from around the country, including Marc Galanter of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Michael Rustad of Suffolk University Law School and Shari Diamond of Northwestern University School of Law will speak at the seminar that is free to the public upon registration.

The symposium is made possible by a generous grant from nationally renown trial attorney Robert A. Clifford who endowed DePaul University College of Law a faculty chair in tort law and school policy. The Clifford Chair provides a vehicle for exploration of the civil justice system in an intellectually rigorous environment.
