Top Chicago personal injury lawyer Robert Clifford sinks his legal expertise this summer into one of the century's great legal plums-the Titanic. Clifford heads a team that includes Johnnie Cochran who'll be in a mock trial testing the vessel's liability issues. The case will be tried at the annual American Bar Association convention. Professional actors will be witnesses, and Clifford's task is challenging the "women and children first" policy on the basis of sex discrimination. His "client" is a woman whose husband and sons were locked below until lifeboats were loaded.
