Kevin Durkin Elected First Vice-President of Chicago Bar Association
Press Release, 06/23/2005Kevin P. Durkin, partner at Clifford Law Offices, was sworn in as First Vice President of the 22,000-member Chicago Bar Association Thursday, June 23, at the organization's 132nd Annual Meeting. He will be inducted as President of the group in June, 2006.
Durkin, who has been very active in the CBA over a number of years, also is active in the American Bar Association. He serves as Co-Chair of the Mass Torts Committee of the Section of Litigation, the largest section of the national group.
He spoke recently at the ABA Section of Litigation's Aviation Committee Seminar in New York City. The day-long seminar, "The Future of Aviation Litigation," was co-sponsored by the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section featuring a number of distinguished members of the bar. Durkin spoke on a panel entitled, "Proving Damages in a Tort Reform, Victims' Compensation Fund World."
