Seminar Looks at Role of Contingency Fees in Torts

DePaul University College of Law sponsored the third annual Clifford Seminar on Tort Law and Social Policy recently with speakers discussing "Contingency Fee Financing of Litigation in America." Pictured are (from left): second-year DePaul student Elizabeth Cain; Professor Stephan Landsman, conference coordinator and holder of DePaul's Clifford Chair in Tort Law; Shannon Schaab, also a second-year student; Robert A. Clifford , a 1976 DePaul graduate who funded the seminar and endowed the Clifford Chair; and state Sen. Kirk Dillard, R-Downers Grove, who has tort legislation currently pending in Springfield.
