Clifford and Tomasik Faculty Members of University of Virginia's Trial Advocacy College

Press Release, 01/02/2008

Robert A. Clifford and Timothy S. Tomasik, partners at Clifford Law Offices, are part of the faculty for the prestigious 27th Annual National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law.

The premier eight-day clinical program that begins Saturday features trial lawyers, judges and law school professors from across the country who specialize in trial advocacy. The program utilizes a combination of lectures and intensified workshops that culminate with each participant trying a case before a live jury.  Terrence F. MacCarthy of the Federal Defender Program in Chicago also will be participating.

This year the recipients of the Brennan Award in honor of Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., include New York attorney Ted Wells, U.S. District Court Judge Barbara J. Rothstein of the Western District of Washington and Kenneth R. Feinberg, Special Master of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.  Last year, Clifford was a recipient of the award.

Founded in 1981, enrollment at the College is limited to 150.
