"Is the Rule of Law Waning in America?" is the topic of the twelfth Annual Clifford Symposium on Civil Justice, Tort Law and Social Policy to be held April 20-21at DePaul University College of Law.
The symposium, which is free and open to the public upon registration, will feature scholars from across the country who will offer their insights into the rule of law in this country and what pressures are driving toward altering it in society as well as alternatives that are replacing legal regimes.
The two-day seminar is held due to a generous grant from Robert A. Clifford. In 1994 he endowed DePaul University College of Law with a faculty chair in tort law and social policy. Professor Stephan Landsman is the current holder of the Clifford Chair.
Reservations to attend are accepted by phone at 312-362-5292, by fax at 312-362-5826 or on the web at http://www.law.depaul.edu/clifford. The symposium will be held at DePaul University, DePaul Center, Room 8005, One E. Jackson Blvd., Chicago.
The topic of next year’s Clifford Tort Symposium will be "The Client’s Changing Role in Civil Litigation."
