Keith Hebeisen Writes About Caps on Damages and Malpractice Insurance Reform

The Illinois Supreme Court has announced that this Thursday it will release its long-awaited decision in Lebron v. Gottlieb Memorial Hospital which was a case challenging the cap on damages in medical malpractice cases as unconstitutional. Lebron is an infant victim of medical malpractice at birth whose recoverable damages would be severely limited by the cap passed in 2005.
Hebeisen, former President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, is expected to be in Springfield, Illinois, Thursday when the court's decision is announced.
