Kevin Durkin Named President of DePaul Law School Public Interest Advisory Board
Press Release, 05/03/2008 Kevin P. Durkin, partner at Clifford Law Offices, has been named the first President of the DePaul University College of Law Center for Public Interest Advisory Board.
The Center for Public Interest has a long tradition at the school, working to serve the poor and underrepresented with a sense of commitment, encouraging and mentoring others to help the underprivileged in the community. This is the first year the Center has formed an Advisory Board to accomplish its objectives. Its first meeting is May 14 at the law school.
Durkin was one of the lead attorneys in obtaining the record $100 million settlement on behalf of the victims of the Cook County Administration Building fire where six people died and 16 more were injured. He took more than 250 depositions as the case settled just moments before jury selection was to get underway on April 28.
Durkin lives with his wife, Kathy, and three children in Orland Park.
