Robert Clifford Interviews Chicago School Supt. Brizard on WYCC

Chicago Superintendent of Schools Jean-Claude Brizard (center) and Jesse H. Ruiz, former Chairman of the Illinois State Board of Education, speak with Robert A. Clifford on how to improve schools.
Brizard spoke to Clifford, President of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and senior partner at Clifford Law Offices, in a one-hour special that will air on WYCC at noon starting Sunday during the half-hour "Justice and Law Weekly" show. The second half will air the following Sunday, Dec. 4.
Brizard explained during the shows how he grew up in the New York City school system. He is on a mission to visit every school in the Chicago Public School system in his first year as superintendent appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel. He also discussed the issue of a longer school day.
