Robert Clifford Speaks on Jury Selection at the Chicago Bar

The Chicago Bar Association (CBA) offered a program Wed. (May 4) entitled "Picking the 'Best' Jury: Effective Techniques by the Experts. More than 100 people attended in person or on the web. Among the experienced trial lawyers on the panel were:
Russell Ainsworth, Loevy & Loevy; Jonathan S. Bedi, Office of the Cook County Public Defender; Robert A. Clifford, Clifford Law Offices; Dan L. Boho, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP; George P. Apostolides (moderator), Arnstein & Lehr, LLP.
The panelists offered many tips on jury selection and spoke of the recent issues surrounding the current trial in federal court of former Governor Rod Blagojevich. Clifford told the group that jury selection is really a matter of "deselection." The program was sponsored by the Young Lawyers Section of the CBA.
