Robert Clifford to Speak at Illinois State Bar Masters Series Program

Robert A. Clifford, partner at Clifford Law Offices, will be speaking at the Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA) Master Series Program entitled “Lessons in Professional Responsibility.”

The four hour taped seminar that offers continuing legal education credit will be featured four times across the state:

*Feb. 11 in Chicago at the Union League Club, 65 W. Jackson Blvd., at 11:30 am-5 p.m.  The program moderator will be the Honorable Sheila M. Murphy, retired Cook County Circuit Court Judge.

*March 12 in Chicago at the ISBA Regional Office, 20 S. Clark St., at 11:15 a.m.- 5 p.m.

*April 3 in Springfield at the Old State Capitol, 5th and Adams Streets, at 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

*June 5 in Carbondale at the Southern Illinois University School of Law at 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The professional responsibility of Abraham Lincoln will be discussed by many lawyers and judges.  A variety of letters authored by Lincoln and some of his papers will be read, and speeches and stories will be re-enacted.  The distinguished panel of speakers will then reflect upon such topis as conflicts of interest, pro bono work, zealous advocacy, mentoring and diversity.
