Robert Clifford Speaks at Insurers’ Meeting on Tort Reform
Press Release, 10/07/2009Robert Clifford spoke to a packed room of insurance company representatives on the “Trial Bar’s Aggressive Agenda – The Latest Challenge to the Industry” at their Legislative Planning Conference in Chicago.
Aside from the introduction of being very outnumbered in the room, Clifford spoke to a very interested crowd on some very pertinent issues that are facing the trial bar and victims of personal injury. He was joined on the dias by Ed Murnane, President of the Illinois Civil Justice League, an organization that was started years ago to try to galvanize tort reform efforts in this state.
Also on the program was Matt Fullenbaum Director of Legislation of the American Tort Reform Association based in Washington, D.C.. Moderating the program was Kevin J. Martin, Executive Director of the Illinois Insurance Association.
The group was very engaged, asking Clifford many questions during the hour-long program that was held at the Fairmont Hotel, Oct. 12. Property Casualty Insurers Association.
