Tim Tomasik to Receive Chicago Bar Association Award of Excellence
Press Release, 01/27/2009Timothy S. Tomasik, partner at Clifford Law Offices, will be awarded the William J. White Award of Excellence from the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) for his work as Chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee.
Each year the CBA honors one or two lawyers who have dedicated many years of exemplary service and personal commitment to the important work of this committee. The results of this committee are published throughout the county so that voters are more informed about judges and their performance on the bench.
Tomasik has been a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee for 10 years and served as Chair of the Committee for two years during an importance judicial election year. He continues to serves as a member of the Committee.
The recipient of the award designates a law-related charity for receipt of a $1,000 charitable contribution from the Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF), the charitable arm of the CBA. Tomasik has decided to award the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless Law Project to be the recipient of the CBF award, an outreach program for women and children in shelters, educating them about their legal rights.
Tomasik will be honored at a reception of Committee members and CBA leaders.
