Tim Tomasik to Speak at Prestigious Annual Aviation Symposium
Press Release, 10/07/2008Timothy Tomasik, partner at Clifford Law Offices, has been invited to speak at the 12th Annual Aviation Law and Insurance Symposium sponsored by the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
The conference will be held in Orlando, Florida, Jan. 7-9 attended by some of the country’s top aviation lawyers, insurance professionals, consultants and representatives from the airline industry and airline manufacturers.
Tomasik will speak to the group on “Subrogating in the Aftermath of 9/11 – An Update on the 9/11 Litigation.” Tomasik and Robert Clifford serve as liaison counsel in the property damage claims arising from the destruction of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. These complex cases were brought on behalf of insurance companies and business interests from around the globe who suffered billions of dollars in losses after the twin towers collapsed that fateful morning.
He will be traveling to the conference immediately following his serving as a faculty member at the University of Virginia Law School’s week long Trial Institute program.
Tomasik also is speaking at the Center for Continuing Legal Education Seminar on Dec. 5 at the Illinois State Bar Association's Regional Office in Chicago, 20 S. Clark St., Suite 900, Chicago.
He will be presenting the best ways to have witnesses develop their testimony in a speech entitled "Direct Examination." The day-long program, "Trial Practice and Advocacy -- Getting it Right," is designed to provide trial practice tips for experience practitioners.
