Two Attorneys to Speak to Students About ABA Judicial Intern Program

Web Release, 06/04/2009

Courtney Boho Marcinsin and Craig Squillace, attorneys at Clifford Law Offices, have been invited to speak to students at the Annual Chicago/Illinois Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP).

Every year lawyers gather to speak to first and second-year minority and/or financially disadvantaged law students about interning for judges around the country and about the practice of law.  If selected, these students get the opportunity to do legal research and observe judicial proceedings first-hand.  Participating judges are from Illinois, Texas, Florida, Arizona, California and Washington, D.C.

Marcinsin and Squillace will be speaking to them about their practicing personal injury law since graduating from law school.  Both also served as law clerks at Clifford Law Offices while they were attending law school in Chicago.

The program is sponsored by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation and will be held at the law firm of Michael Best in Chicago.

For further information about the program, please contact Gail Howard, the program director at the ABA, at 312-988-6348 or howardg@staff.abanet.org
