$1.8 Million Settlement in Auto Accident Case
Press Release, 09/22/1999Robert Walsh of Clifford Law Offices this week settled the case of a New Hampshire woman who was severely injured in an automobile accident.
Marisa Smith, 19, originally from Evanston, suffered massive closed head injuries and a broken pelvis when she was a passenger on State Highway 173 in Wisconsin on May 29, 1994.
"Marisa laid in a coma for three weeks and will suffer the rest of her life with her continuing cognitive problems," said Walsh. A motor home had pulled out in front of Smith's vehicle. Smith sued the driver of her car Jason Holmes, originally from Wilmette.
Judge Judith Cohen, head of the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County entered the order Tuesday (Sept 21) in Courtroom 2005 of the Daley Center.
