Clifford Law Office Files Lawsuit Against NICOR For Mercury Poisoning
Press Release, 09/19/2000Powerhouse personal injury attorney Robert Clifford will file a lawsuit against Nicor and Henkels & McCoy today on behalf of a Park Ridge family who has been forced to move from their home for the company’s negligently removing their indoor gas meter last summer.
Clifford along with partner Jeffrey Kroll will file the lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of Teri and William Habetler of Park Ridge whose home tested positive for mercury contamination several weeks ago. They have been forced to move out of their home on Brophy Street and have not returned since. The Habetler’s have two minor children, Amber, 3, and Ryan, 10 weeks.
The complaint also alleges that Nicor and Henkels & McCoy created and maintained a private nuisance in that the mercury contaimination constituted a substantial invasion of the use and enjoyment of the Habetler’s home.
