Clifford Law Offices Files Lawsuit Against Village of Lombard in Mother's Death
Press Release, 12/30/2004On Thursday, December 30, 2004 Clifford Law Offices filed a Wrongful Death lawsuit on behalf of a 35-year-old mother who was killed after a Lombard police officer stopped her for a minor traffic violation in a lane of traffic where she was struck by another vehicle.
Michele Dabrowski was stopped on December 18 on Butterfield Road, near Yorktown shopping center, and ordered out of her car by an officer at 2am, but he failed to make sure that she was in a safe position. Another car, driven by a 17-year-old boy from Bellwood, struck the mother of two young boys, killing her at the scene. The teenager and officer were not hurt.
Service roads and less traveled streets were less than 50 yards from where the incident occurred.
