Clifford Tort Symposium to Deal With Impact of the Media on Civil Litigation

The sixth annual Clifford Tort Law and Social Policy Symposium will find lawyers, academicians and media experts gathering for two days at DePaul University College of Law to discuss the impact of the media and popular culture on civil litigation.
Bill Kurtis, national television producer and commentator, is part of a faculty from across the country who will speak on various issues including DePaul University College of Law professors Susan Bandes and Stephan Landsman, the Clifford Professor of Tort Law and Social Policy. Faculty members also include law professors from Stanford, Northwestern and the University of Colorado.
The two-day symposium is free and open to the public upon registration. It will be held at DePaul University College of Law, 1 E. Jackson Blvd., 8th Floor Conference Center, Chicago, March 31-April 1.
The Symposium was created in 1994 when nationally prominent trial attorney in Chicago, Robert Clifford, endowed the country's first Chair in Tort Law and Social Policy. The endowment supports faculty research and teaching as well as the annual seminar on timely issues related to the law of torts.
