Kenneth Feinberg Among Speakers at Terrorism Conference: "After Disaster"

Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master of the Sept. 11 Victims Compensation Fund, will be among the speakers at a two-day symposium to be held at DePaul University College of Law April 24-25.

"After Disaster:The September 11 Compensation Fund and the Future of Civil Justice" will feature two dozen academics, practitioners and experts from around the country. Feinberg is scheduled to speak 10 a.m. Thursday (April 24) and will be available to answer questions of the press throughout the day.

Also on the dias will be Robert Clifford, Chair of the American Bar Association Task Force on Terrorism and the Law, as well as Marshall S. Shapo of Northwestern University School of Law, Robert H. Mnookin of Harvard University Law School and Robert Peck of the Center for Constitutional Litigation.

Clifford, a nationally renowed trial attorney in Chicago, endowed the country’s first Chair in Tort Law and Social Policy which is an annual seminar on timely issues related to the law of torts and how it impacts society. The symposium is free and open to the public. It will be held all day at DePaul University, DePaul Center, Room 8005, One E. Jackson Blvd., Chicago.
