Robert Clifford to Address NTSB Finding in Pittsburgh Crash

Press Release, 03/22/1999

Robert Clifford, one of the lead plaintiffs' attorneys in the state court litigation arising out of the 1994 Pittsburgh air crash, is critical of Boeing's involvement in the government's review process into the cause of that accident. The Seattle-based Boeing manufactured the 737 jet involved in the crash.

Those cases are expected to be heard in Chicago's state court in November.

While the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has yet to disclose its findings, it is expected to hold a hearing starting Tuesday in Washington, D.C., where it will examine the cause of the USAir crash that plunged from the sky Sept. 8, 1994, killing all 132 aboard. Clifford questions Boeing's input in that process.

The five-year investigation has focused on the rudder of the 737, the world's most common jetliner in the air today. Clifford can address the NTSB's findings.
