Top Lawmakers Take Part in Clifford Law Seminar
Press Release, 04/20/1999Some of the country's top lawmakers will participate in the Fifth Annual Clifford Tort Law and Social Policy Symposium to be held April 16-17 at DePaul University College of Law.
Sen. Richard Durbin, Sen. John McCain (Re-Ariz.) and Reps. Henry Hyde (R-Ill.) and Rod Blagojevich (D-Ill.) have taped interviews on the subject "Judges as Tort Lawmakers."
Also participating will be some of the nation's most respected attorneys and scholars who will gather in Chicago to discuss judicial impact on current legal wars from tobacco products to handguns, asbestos to breast implant litigation.
The two-day event (April 16-17) will be held at DePaul University College of Law, at 75 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago.
Robert A. Clifford, a nationally prominent trial attorney in Chicago, endowed DePaul with the country's first Chair of Tort Law and Social Policy in order to provide debate on important timely issues to the law of personal debate on important timely issues to the law of personal injury. The symposium is free and open to the public upon registration.
