Robert A. Clifford of the Clifford Law Offices has earned a national reputation as one of the most accomplished and successful tort lawyers in the country.
Rochelle Cooper Dreyfuss is Professor of Law and Director of the Engleberg Center On Innovative Law & Policy at New York University School of Law. She is an expert in the area of law and science, whose recent research has addressed the question of the admissibility of scientific evidence after the Daubert v. Merrell Dow decision.
Hiedi Li Feldman is Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Michigan School of Law. Professor Feldman teaches Torts and is engaged in ongoing scholarship as regards causation theory in the modern tort science case, especially in mass exposure settings.
Terrrence F. Kiely is the Robert A. Clifford Professor of Tort Law and Social Policy at DePaul University College of Law. Professor Kiely is an experienced teacher, writer and practitioner in the areas of negligence and products liability.
Stephan Landsman is Professor of Law at DePaul University College of Law. Professor Landsman teaches Torts and is an expert in the development of the Anglo-American litigation system.
Lee Loevinger, this year's main speaker, is of counsel to the firm of Hogan & Hartson in Washington, D.C. Mr. Loevinger has had a distinguished career in private practice, public service and the world of scholarship. He is former ABA Co-chair and now Section Liaison to the National Conference of Lawyers and Scientists, a member of the editorial board of Jurimetrics, and a former chair of the ABA Science and Technology Section. He is one of the country's leading scholars in the area of law and science.
Bruce L. Ottley is a Professor at DePaul University College of Law. Professor Ottley teaches Torts and advanced Tort seminars and is co-author of Illinois Tort Law, now in its second edition.
James E. Starrs is Professor of Law and Forensic Sciences at The George Washington University. Professor Starrs, Scientific Evidence in Civil & Criminal Cases is one of the nation's leading text in the field, currently in its fourth edition.
