Clifford Law Offices Goes Green
Web Release, 07/10/2009Clifford Law Offices is conscious about saving the environment – from separate disposal of food waste to recycling toners for printers. But it recently was able to quantify these efforts with its paper shredding efforts.
Just in the last 120 days, Clifford Law Offices has shredded and recycled 1.5 tons (or 3,475 pounds) of paper. This resulted in the following savings:
*29 trees (environmentalists say that 100 trees equal a forest)
*12,163 gallons of water (it takes 6,800 gallons of water to grow a day’s food for a family of four)
*5.73 cubic yards of landfill space
*7,123 kilowatts of electricity (in 2007, the average ANNUAL residential electricity consumption was 11,232 kilowatt-hours)
*321 gallons of gas
It should be noted that if some of this shredded paper was from recycled paper, the savings are significantly greater still.
Clifford Law Offices encourages everyone to recycle and purchase recycled products to assist in saving the world’s natural resources and to reduce pollution.
