Clifford Law Offices Receives National First-Tier Rankings With U.S.News-Best Lawyers

Clifford Law Offices received national first-tier rankings in Plaintiffs’ Product Liability Litigation in the 2010 U.S. News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” Guide.  This is the first time that a national ranking has been compiled and it was featured in the October print issue of U.S. News & World Report.

The firm also received Metropolitan First-Tier Rankings in Plaintiffs’ Medical Malpractice Law, Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury Litigation and Plaintiffs’ Product Liability Litigation in what many have called the most comprehensive view of the U.S. legal profession, both in the range of firms represented and in the range of qualitative and quantitative data used to develop the rankings. 

U.S.News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” inaugural guide involved surveying thousands of law firms and clients. The rankings incorporated evaluations of 39,382 “Best Lawyers from the Best Lawyers’ most recent annual survey.  Tier 1 includes firms with the highest scores.  U.S. News & World Report said in a story that it “believes these rankings are a natural extension of the Best Law Schools rankings that we publish annually.  Since a large percentage of law school graduates to go work at firms, we believe these new rankings and other information about working at law firms will provide invaluable insights to help lawyers pick the best firms for which to work.”

    
Clifford Law Offices also is proud to announced that three of it attorneys, Robert Clifford, Keith Hebeisen and Kevin Durkin, have been named to the 2011 edition of Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession.

Clifford, senior and name partner at the firm, has been named in the publication since its inception in 1983.  He also was named the 2009 Best Lawyers’ Top Personal Injury Attorney in Chicago and 2010 Best Lawyers’ Top Medical Malpractice Attorney in Chicago.

In 2011, Clifford was recognized for his work in commercial litigation, personal injury litigation and product liability litigation.  Hebeisen was recognized for medical malpractice litigation and personal injury litigation, and Durkin was named for his work in personal injury litigation.

For the new 2011 U.S. edition, more than 50 percent of the lawyers listed in Best Lawyers cast more than 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in the same and related specialities.

Because of the rigorous and transparent methodology used by Best Lawyers and because lawyers are not required or even allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.  Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
