Clifford Law Offices Sponsors Two-Hour Free Webinar on Ethical Issues in Mediation
Web Release, 01/23/2012Clifford Law Offices is sponsoring a free two-hour continuing legal education program on the ethics of settlement, negotiation and mediation in the fifth annual Clifford Law Offices Continuing Legal Education Series at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16.
The two-hour program will include an examination of various hypotheticals involving negotiation, settlement and mediation and will raise questions in the interactive program that will be conducted live at DePaul University School of Law.
The speakers are Robert Clifford, senior partner, Clifford Law Offices and President of the Chicago Bar Association; Professor Katheryn Dutenhaver, Director, DePaul University College of Law Center for Dispute Resolution; and Hon. Stuart Nudelman, retired Judge of the Cook County Circuit Court and now certified mediator with ADR Systems.
Inadvertent disclosure of confidential information, possible coercion of parties to an agreement, unrepresented third parties and selection of an impartial mediator and the necessary disclosures before choosing one are some of the issues that will be discussed in an interactive program with people in the audience as well as those attending via the Internet.
