Comair Cases Settle; Clifford Law Represents Five Families
Press Release, 08/12/2008Clifford Law Offices today (Tues., Aug. 12, 2008) announced the settlement of five lawsuits involving the families who lost loved ones in the crash of Comair Flight 5191 that killed 49 people at the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky airport nearly two years ago.
The Comair crash occurred on Aug. 27, 2006, in the early morning hours when it attempted to take off on an unlit runway that was of insufficient length.
"This terrible tragedy was avoidable and all of the loss and heartache would never have happened," Clifford said following the settlements. "If those in the airline industry learn from this horrific event, then the families can, at least, take solace in the fact that steps can be taken so that this never happens again."
Clifford Law Offices settled the matters along with a number of other counsel including Wombles and Wadlington of Lexington, Kentucky.
