Million Dollar Judgment for Young Girl Attacked by Pit Bull
Web Release, 06/21/2010Robert P. Walsh, partner at Clifford Law Offices, obtained a $1,049,049
judgment on behalf of a young eight-year-old girl who was savagely attacked by
a pit bull near her Elk Grove Village home.
Clifford Law Offices sued the dog's owner, the girl’s neighbor. Judge Lynn Egan of the Cook County Circuit Court entered a default judgment for just over a million dollars on June 21. The little girl’s older sister recovered $10,000 for the trauma and emotional distress of witnessing the incident and attempting to pull the violent dog off of her little sister.
