Clifford Law Offices generously provided the materials for the programs that are held at DePaul University College of Law School in January.
The 2009 program offered “A View from Both Sides of the Bench: Current Issues in Professionalism and Ethics.” The speakers were the Honorable James F. Holderman, Chief Judge of the Eastern Division of the United States District Court; the Honorable Michael B. Hyman, Cook County Circuit Court; and Professor Vincent Vitullo of DePaul University College of Law.
Speaking on “Professionalism and Diversity in Today’s Legal Climate” was Jayne Reardon, Deputy Director of the Commission on Professionalism of the Illinois Supreme Court, and Audrey J. Lee, Legal Education Consultant of the Commission.
Speaking on “Striving for Balance in a High Stress Job During a High Stress Time” was Janet Piper Voss, Executive Director of the Lawyer’s Assistance Program (LAP), and Susan Riegler, Clinical Director of LAP.
The afternoon program concluded with a presentation by James J. Grogan, Deputy Administrator and Chief Counsel of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) speaking on “What’s Hot at the ARDC.”
Kevin Durkin, partner at Clifford Law Offices, was honored in 2007 as the Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Profession Honoree for his assistance with the materials.
