Salmonella Product Recall News

The following products are being recalled because they could be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems:

McCormick & Co. Inc. of Sparks, Md., is expanding an earlier recall to include more "best-by" dates of onion gravy, vegetable dip and French onion dip mixes, as well as corn bread stuffing. No illness has been reported. The recalled items were sold nationwide, and some were available outside of the U.S. Details: by phone at 800-632-5847.

Orval Kent Food Co. Inc. of Wheeling, Ill., is recalling select use-by dates of some of its dip products. No illness has been reported. The recall includes Culinary Circle brand pesto ranch, cucumber dill and spinach dips, which were sold nationwide. The recall also includes Albertsons brand spinach dip sold in California and Nevada and Jewel brand spinach dip sold in Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. Details: by phone at 877-932-7948.
