Michael Krzak is a hard-working Chicago, Illinois injury attorney, putting every ounce of effort and enthusiasm into his work day. His approach to each project is thorough, exhausting all possible angles to a problem. His legal research on a number of cases—from aviation issues to medical malpractice matters—is a trusted tool in the office. He started at Clifford Law Offices as a clerk and began as an associate attorney upon his successful completion of his law studies. In June, 2004, at age 33, he became the youngest partner at Clifford Law Offices.

Mr. Krzak achieved a $2.583 million verdict, setting a new legal record in the state for a woman who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder in witnessing the death of her best friend in an auto accident. Recently, he set a record for a knee injury with a $500,002 verdict in downstate Bloomington, Illinois. He also was instrumental in obtaining a $13.73 million settlement for a worker who sustained burn injuries. He was part of the Clifford Law Offices team that worked on the Rachel Barton trial, a violinist injured in a train accident that resulted in a $29.6 million verdict. Mr. Krzak was named among the Illinois "40 Attorneys Under 40 to Watch" by The Law Bulletin Publishing Company in 2001.

Mr. Krzak's case load is wide-ranging: He handles a variety of personal injury cases in which individuals suffered paralyzing injuries as well as numerous wrongful death and serious injury cases resulting from construction negligence, air crashes, train crashes and automobile collisions. As one of our experienced Chicago accident lawyers, he has attained multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts in numerous cases and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Mr. Krzak is part of the team that tackles highly complex aviation crash cases. His sense of zeroing in on the issues and his attention to detail being indispensable to the intense preparation of these cases. He has been involved in every commercial aviation case the firm has handled since he came to the firm. He is currently handling the Turkish Airlines Flight 1951 case which crashed short of the runway at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in 2009. Clifford Law Offices represents 17 families. He was responsible for handling the highly publicized air crash cases on the runway in Lexington, Kentucky, involving Comair Flight 5191. The law firm represented five families who lost loved ones in that crash. Mr. Krzak was part of the Plaintiffs Steering Committee relating to that crash and also a designated member of the trial team. He is also currently handling the air crash case involving Continental Connection Flight 3407 in Buffalo, New York. He also represented families who were victims of crashes of American Eagle Flight 4184, Alaska Air Flight 261, American Airlines Flight 587, TWA Flight 800, Swiss Air Flight 111, U.S. Air Flight 427, American Airlines Flight 585 and the Southwest Airlines crash at Midway Airport in December, 2005. He also has been involved in numerous cases involving the crashes of small aircraft and helicopters. He served as Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Aviation Law Committee in 2006 and as Chair in 2007 and 2011.
