Question: What happens if I ignore a jury summons?
Answer: Jury summons are sent through the mail to a citizen’s home. If you receive a summons, you must report to the address indicated on the summons at the time stated. Failure to do so may result in your being held in contempt of court, and you may be fined, or in extreme circumstances, receive a jail sentence.
