Question: Can a motorcyclist be fined for doing “wheelies”?
Answer: A new state law effective January 1, 2013, imposes a minimum fine of $1,000 for driving a motorcycle on one wheel while speeding. The new law also raises the height of a motorcycle’s handlebars to the height of the driver’s head. Previously, handlebars could not be higher than the operator’s shoulders.
