Keith A. Hebeisen, President, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association
Keith Hebeisen, partner at Clifford Law Offices, was inducted as the
President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) on Friday,
June 3, at the Oak Brook Hills Resort.
Hebeisen, 51, of Northbrook, is partner at Clifford Law Offices in
Chicago, a nationally renowned personal injury and wrongful death firm.
Hebeisen concentrates his practice in, and is recognized for handling
complex medical malpractice cases. He also has been very vocal in
Springfield on behalf of persons injured or killed by medical
negligence, informing lawmakers on bills that are pending in
Springfield that would limit patients’ rights.
Hebeisen recently visited Springfield to talk to the House Democratic
Caucus where he appeared with one of his clients, Molly Akers of New
Lenox, who lost a healthy breast due to her pathology slides being
negligently mixed up with another patient’s. Doctors at the
University of Chicago also removed two dozen lymph nodes on the
33-year-old mother and former personal trainer.
Hebeisen has served as Editor of the Illinois Bar Journal and has edited ITLA’s Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook since 1992. He speaks throughout the state on medical malpractice.
Hebeisen is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law.
