Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner at Clifford Law Offices, will be among the speakers at the Chicago Bar Association’s “Trial Superstars on Presenting Your Case: Trial Strategies and Innovations” program. The all-day CLE will take place on June 11, 2026, at The Metropolitan Club in Chicago.
Clifford will be speaking on a panel with Dan Webb of Winston & Strawn on “Winning Trial Strategies” at 12:45 p.m., immediately following a luncheon. The two powerhouse lawyers have faced each other for the last seven years in federal district court on opposite sides of the litigation involving the Boeing crash that killed 157 people in Ethiopia.
Other speakers include Hon. Thomas V. Lyons II, Presiding Judge of the Law Division, Circuit Court of Cook County, and Hon. Nichole Patton, Trial Section of the Law Division, Circuit Court of Cook County, and current CBA President, who will offer “Tips from the Bench.” Hon. Eileen O’Neill Burke, Cook County State’s Attorney, will speak on the “Perspective of Cook County State’s Attorney.”
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with a luncheon and networking reception concluding at 4:35 p.m.
The program offers 6.5 hours of Illinois continuing legal education credit, including 1.75 hours of professional responsibility credit.
