Chessick Family to be Inducted Into the Northern Illinois University Athletics Hall of Fame

Kenneth C. Chessick, of counsel at Clifford Law Offices, and his family are to be inducted into the Northern Illinois University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2022. They will join three other families as well as seven student-athletes and the current head coach of the football team in this year’s class of inductees.

Dr. Chessick graduated from NIU College of Law in 1984 and has served on the NIU Foundation Board of Directors as well as the NIU College of Law Board of Visitors. Both Kenneth and his wife, Ellen, have received prestigious alumna awards for their dedication to the university over the years.

The Chessick family has been a long-time supporter of athletics at Northern Illinois University. They have had an instrumental impact on the athletics program with their generous gift to construct the Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Practice Center. Supporters of the University’s academic growth as well, the Chessick family established the Kenneth C. Chessick Legal Training Skills Center at the NIU College of Law and the Restaurant.com Professorship of Interactive Marketing at the NIU College of Business in 2004.

Hall of Fame committee chairman Rodney Davis said in an NIU Athletics news release, “We have selected an elite class that represents the best of Huskie Athletics. We are very excited to induct this group into the Hall of Fame and we hope that the entire NIU community will join us for the celebration.”

A ceremony will be held on October 7, 2022, to honor the Class of 2022 Hall of Fame inductees during the University’s 115th Homecoming weekend celebration.

    Congratulations, Ken!
