The Ball brings together community leaders, businesses, and donors throughout the Chicago area to raise funds for scholarships for deserving law students of Hellenic descent.
About the Hellenic Bar Association and the 70th Annual Scholarship Ball
The Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois (“HBA”) was founded in 1951 by a group of Greek attorneys for professional and social reasons. It is the largest and oldest Greek-American bar association in Illinois.
The HBA is committed to preserving their commitment to education and one way in which they do this is by awarding scholarships to deserving Hellenic law students. They have raised the scholarship funds through their Annual Scholarship Ball for the past 69 years. This year will mark the 70th year of the Ball and this will be the first year that the event will be held virtually due to COVID-19. Attendees will enjoy an online auction, a pre-show comedy & cocktails event, and a main event that will spotlight Greek-Americans who are distinguished members of the community and have contributed to the preservation of Hellenism in a significant way.
The 70th Annual Scholarship Ball will be held virtually on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (CT).
