Clifford Law Offices filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 against a major trucking company whose currently unknown driver allegedly fled the scene after crushing the foot of a woman standing at a corner where the truck was making a right-hand turn on Chicago’s Southwest side.

Cook County Circuit Court Judge John H. Ehrlich also entered an order on an Emergency Motion allowing Clifford Law Offices to subpoena the 911 communications from the day of the incident, September 12th, before they are erased and lost through routine procedures. Those tapes are believed to provide critical information on witnesses to the tragedy as well as the identification of the exact truck that struck the woman and then left without offering her aid.

Lorel Mazur, 61, of Chicago’s Southwest side was near the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and 51st Street at about 2:30 p.m. when a J.B. Hunt truck allegedly drove up on to the sidewalk and rolled over Mazur’s right foot, severely crushing it and breaking numerous bones.
