Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices, will appear live on Fox 32 Chicago’s “Chicago Live” streaming broadcast on Thursday, November 6, at 1:30 p.m. CT to discuss the UPS cargo plane crash in Louisville, Kentucky, and its similarities to the 1979 American Airlines Flight 191 disaster at O’Hare International Airport.
Clifford, one of the nation’s leading aviation attorneys, represented families in the Flight 191 litigation more than 40 years ago, in which an engine detached shortly after takeoff, causing the plane to crash and killing all 271 people on board. Following the Louisville crash on Tuesday, November 4, Clifford noted that early indications suggest parallels between the two incidents. He emphasized the importance of determining whether maintenance or mechanical failures were factors and that both tragic crashes involved an engine detaching from the plane shortly after takeoff.
