The advice of Clifford Law Offices’ founding partner Bob Clifford titled, “Buttressing Your Rebuttal”, was revisited in Trial Magazine to celebrate the 75th-anniversary of the American Association of Justice®.
Clifford’s original article ran in the Good Counsel column in August 1996 and discusses how to create an effective, offensive rebuttal that emphasizes the most powerful case components. He states that:
“Your rebuttal is the last thing the jurors will hear before the judges give them instructions, so leave them with a powerful impression of the plaintiff’s case before they begin deliberating.”
