Courtney A. Berlin, Associate at Clifford Law Offices, was successful in her bid in the 2025 Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) contested race for Board of Governors Under 37. She will serve a three-year term on the Board that oversees the operations and management of ISBA.
Courtney, who graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2023, ran with the vision of “engaging and retaining younger and underrepresented attorneys through the leadership pipeline.”
She already has been very active in bar association work with a very busy trial schedule. She is involved with the ISBA Torts and Young Lawyers committees as well as the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI) and the Illinois Trial Lawyer Association (ITLA).
Also successful in their bid for a seat on the Assembly was Clifford Law Offices partner, John Kalantzis, and Associate Devin Piper. The 203-member Assembly is the policymaking body of the ISBA. They will be serving two-year terms.
All of these successful candidates will be sworn in at the June Annual Meeting that will be held in Lincolnshire.
