    An estimated 26 people were injured when a No. 71 CTA bus crashed into a light pole on Chicago’s South Side this morning (Wed., Oct. 17, 2018).

    The incident occurred at the intersection of Cottage Grove Avenue and 71st Street about 6:30 a.m., according to the CTA. Twenty-one people reportedly were taken to area hospitals.

    The cause of the crash is unknown and police are still investigating the occurrence. Buses were being rerouted till 8 a.m. while 71st Street was closed.
