A Cook County jury returned a record $7.25 million verdict on behalf of a 32-year-old woman who underwent a hysterectomy following negligent complications during an unplanned cesarean section and delayed recognition of a postpartum hemorrhage. The jury found in favor of the Plaintiff after a two-week trial, making the verdict a record for a hysterectomy case in Cook County.

A $3M settlement was obtained on behalf of the family of a young man who died while in custody at Cook County Jail following a failure to provide standard mental health and medical care.

Despite a urologist receiving reports of a 76-year-old male with abnormal urological symptoms along with numerous urinalyses and urine cultures, which were reported as positive for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) over several months, the Plaintiff underwent prostate surgery without any pre- or post-operative treatment to address MRSA. He later died due to complications of MRSA bacteremia and MRSA urinary tract infection. The case settled for $1,000,000.
